Discover the Charm of Christchurch in Autumn

The picturesque town of Christchurch where we are located is beautiful during the autumn season when the days are cooler, the nights longer and the colours of the leaves turn. Together with cozy pubs, and stunning coastal walks, it's the perfect destination for a peaceful getaway.

Some popular walks include:

Hengistbury Head Nature Reserve

Hengistbury Head is a stunning nature reserve located between Bournemouth and Christchurch. Winter is an excellent time to visit, as the crowds thin out, leaving you with the serene beauty of the reserve. The coastal walk offers breathtaking views of Christchurch Harbour, and the sandy beach is perfect for a brisk walk, especially during low tide.

Every autumn walk should finish with a pub. We recommend The Ship In Distress As the leaves turn to shades of amber and the nights draw in, autumn ushers in a season of warmth and comfort. It’s the perfect time to indulge in the classic delight of pies and The Ship In Distress offers some of the best.
