October News

We have continued to have some amazing weather in October as the photos below will show, I hope that it lasts for a little bit longer.  

The first photo was taken by a customer who was on Bournemouth Beach enjoying the sunshine and the stunning view over the bay at the beginning of October.

The second photo was taken last Friday 19th October on Highcliffe Beach, overlooking Christchurch Bay and Mudeford, tee shirt weather.  

The third photo, taken from my favourite spot on Hengistbury Head, is of the beach huts, unfortunately the sky was not as blue but still warm and dry, The Beach House cafe was open, so we had a lovely lunch with a glass of wine.

We are so lucky that we have such a wonderful and varied coastline on our doorstep with lots of exciting things to see and do.
 
Our grass in the garden has finally made a recovery, due to the very hot temperatures that we had for a continued length of time and the threat of an imminent hose pipe ban. It did look dead for the majority of the summer but finally is growing back to its normal health and colour. We have just had the annual cutting back of the Willow trees and hedges ready for the winter and the boats coming out of the water. These will be lifted out on the 5th November and stored on the gravel area next to the river for the winter period. They will be put back into the water in late March. This gives the opportunity for the boat owners to undertake their annual maintenance and repairs that may need doing after the summer season.

I am in the process of finalising the exciting plans for this year’s upgrades to all of the houses. This will be for each of the single bedrooms and the twin bedrooms. I will update in my next blog on how I am getting on.
