Christchurch and the surrounding area are buzzing with events this summer! The best part? Most are within walking distance of Riverside Park.

Here are some must-attend events:

Christchurch Food Festival:

The South Coasts biggest and best food festival; Christchurch Food Festival is free and takes place on 25^th – 27^th May. Beyond the delicious food, Christchurch Food Festival promises a fun-filled experience for everyone. Get ready for live cooking demonstrations by celebrity chefs, interactive workshops, and amazing tastings. Live music performances and engaging activities for children will also be on offer, ensuring a memorable day for the whole family.

Grill Fest:

Always wanted to learn how to cook on a firebowl? Or perhaps you just fancy some sizzling food, a drink, and live music? Stewart’s Grill Fest will include demonstrations of all your favourite brands while relishing in flame-cooked BBQ food, beers, cocktails, and coffee in their transformed backyard this summer. A ticketed event happening 29^th – 30^th June.

Christchurch Music Festival:

Some of the best acts in BCP and beyond will be joining together for 2024's Christchurch Music Festival which takes place on Christchurch Quay (right by Riverside Park) on 19^th – 21^st July. This event swings from soulful sounds to rocking rhythms, ensuring there's something for everyone. Plus, it's a blast for the whole family with a dedicated kids zone. It's set to be an unforgettable weekend! A ticketed event.

Stompin on the Quomps:

Christchurch's free, annual jazz festival, Stompin' on the Quomps, is a must-attend summer event. Happening this year on Saturday 3^rd August. From noon to night, enjoy a super lineup of the UK's finest jazz musicians. With your friends or family, and a picnic basket, you can savor delicious food from nearby local vendors. Just a short stroll from Riverside Park, this lively event promises a day filled with music, good vibes, and community spirit.

RNLI Lifeboat Mudeford Fun Day:

Happening on Mudeford Quay the RNLI Lifeboat Mudeford Fun Day on 11^th August the fun-filled day celebrates community spirit. Enjoy live RNLI demos, family games, delicious BBQ, thrilling paddleboard races, a lively fun fair, and the ever-popular duck race – all with the stunning Mudeford Quay scenery as your backdrop.

Christchurch Carnival:

Join in the fun of the Christchurch Carnival 10th and 11th August 2024 at The Quay in Christchurch. A fun-filled weekend making a difference in the community. With a series of displays and fun activities on the quay, as well as music, events, carnival parade, fireworks and a funfair. This FREE event really shows off our town and fantastic local people.
